Hamilton is proudly one of the best spots in the country to commemorate Canada Day. Stanton Renaissance welcomes you to take advantage of the incredible flurry of activity and celebration happening there this year.
Here are a few of our city’s best upcoming events:
Everyone will be celebrating at the Canada Day Fireworks at Pier 4 and Bayfront Park. The colourful extravaganza promises to bring people together for a joyous occasion. You can buy food starting at 6pm, and then settle in for a full night of fun performances.
It’s Your Festival in Gage Park is one of the oldest and largest Canada Day festivals in the country. Last year, over 150,000 people showed up for the spectacular event. There are five stages for entertainment. Performers include a Serbian folklore presentation, an Aboriginal Drum circle, and the main act, Platinum Blonde themselves. There’s even a bingo tent.
It’s going to be extremely hot outside again on Canada Day weekend, so staying cool at Wild Water Works promises to be more fun than ever, and we’re told that if you get festive in red and white, it costs $3 less to get in.
Residents or visitors to Hamilton can also tour the historical Westfield Heritage Village and discover what life was like in old Canada. Volunteers give demonstrations throughout the day. Guests can explore the gardens or forests, the boardwalk, or the hiking trails.
Hamilton has something for everyone on July 1st.
