Summer is many people’s favourite season, and with good reason. Canada’s weather for most of the year is not the easiest journey for the faint at heart—or anyone accustomed to a warmer climate. But fall is a sort of beautiful in-between, where extreme temperatures haven’t yet taken hold, and the leaves are gorgeous golden and red. It’s no surprise there are so many delicious and exquisite festivals marking the season. Since it’s right around the corner, here are a few early autumn events totally worth checking out in Toronto and Mimico:
Mimico’s annual Taste of the Kingsway Festival is a food and entertainment jubilee with engaging and fun activities for all, oh, and over 30 Kingsway Restaurants serving delicious samples of international cuisine! September 9-11 this year.
The Honey Harvest Festival, on the weekend of September 17-18, is a chance to tour a bee space, meet a beekeeper, taste honey, make crafts, play bee games, build a bee habitat, enjoy music and entertainment, and much more!
The Hike Haliburton Festival, from September 22-25 is Canada’s Largest Hiking Festival. Over 1500 hikers of all ages and abilities will come from all over Ontario and beyond to participate in 75 guided hikes throughout the picturesque Haliburton Highlands! The Festival integrates art, culture, heritage and food to showcase the area.
